Description

This purposeful game has been designed to accompany a whole class reading of the picture book Thelma the Unicorn by Aaron Blabey. It is a fun way for your students to practise describing characters and objects from the story.

Students will listen to descriptive vocabulary words and find an image on their board that matches. Each time they find a match, they cover it with a counter. Encourage students to explain and justify their choices as they play. The first to cover 3 images in a row is the winner!

Designed to be played in a small group or as a whole class, this resource includes:

  1. Detailed instructions
  2. Game boards x6 (in high and low colour)
  3. Vocabulary cards x36

Please note that students will also require counters to play the game.

This resource is available in our basic fun font and all Australian state fonts.
