Description

To Metaphor or Not? worksheet is a fun and engaging way for your students to recognise the difference between literal sentences and metaphors.

There are 3 versions of this worksheet. This activity aims for students to confidently identify the difference between a metaphor and a literal sentence so they can apply this to their writing, especially poetry. To challenge the students, they can create 2 metaphors and a literal sentence.

To Metaphor or Not can be used to assess knowledge, an activity for poetry or a small group explicit lesson.
