Trash or Treasure: Onset & Rime
Description
Each student has a stack of onset cards and a stack of rime cards. Both sets of cards are printed on a different coloured paper. Students choose a rime card which they keep on their game board. They place all of their onset cards face down in a pile on their game board.
Students place one rime card on the game board at a time, and decide if it has made a real word (treasure) or nonsense word (trash). Extend the activity by having students write their words on the recording sheet.
Available in Australian state fonts.
