Use this activity to support student research into the different types of settlements.

Using the instructions as a guide, students will cut out and assemble the pyramid flip book, labelling each layer in order from the smallest to largest. Next, they can use the guiding prompts to research important facts about each settlement type, using either digital or physical resources.

This activity is designed to be completed individually but could be used as a quick small group task by assigning one pyramid layer to each student.

We recommend printing this activity on A3 paper. Store completed flip books in student workbooks or display them on a bulletin board!
