Students will practise hearing and identifying the medial sound in CVC words.

This resource includes 6 different game boards - this gives each child in a small group their own pictures to identify and encourages them to work independently.

To play, simply add a spinner to the vowel sounds (create one using a split pin and paperclip). Students then take turns to spin their spinner, identify a picture that has that sound in the middle and then place a counter on it. They can either play until all of the pictures are covered, someone gets 3 in a row, or until all of their counters are gone.
