Description

Give your students a fun and interactive way to build number recognition and practise addition with Weather Roll & Cover! This easy-to-use game is perfect for developing fluency with number identification and addition facts while providing valuable hands-on learning opportunities. With two differentiated levels of play, this resource can be used across a range of abilities and makes a great addition to your maths rotations or independent practise options.

To play, students select a game board and roll the dice. In Level 1, they roll one dice showing dot formations and place a counter or cube on the matching number on their board. In Level 2, students roll two dice, add the numbers together, and then cover the corresponding number. The aim is to cover all numbers on the game board. If a number has already been covered, they skip their turn and wait for the next roll. This simple twist adds an element of strategy and anticipation that keeps students engaged!

Weather Roll & Cover includes six different game board designs, each provided at both levels of difficulty. The playful weather theme adds a touch of fun while keeping the focus on building key maths skills. The game is ideal for reinforcing number recognition and developing early addition fluency. It’s also a great tool for encouraging subitising, counting on, and flexible thinking when adding small numbers.

Designed for independent play, Weather Roll & Cover is easy to set up and manage in your classroom. Simply print, laminate, and add dice and counters. Students can use the game boards during maths rotations, as an early finisher task, or in small group sessions. The differentiated levels make it easy to cater to a variety of learners, helping everyone to experience success while building important number skills.
