The Where Am I in Australia? Craftivity is a super fun way for students to identify personal details about themselves and visually see how they fit into a wider community on a global scale. This resource contains 4 activities that are a fun way to create a visual display for the classroom, with each activity building on student knowledge of their location in the world.Students will need to research for the following activities:

• My Passport - Name, date of birth, place of birth, and the continents they have visited
• Luggage Tag Template – Home address or the address of their school
• Australian Information Guide - How many states and territories there are, the capital city of Australia, the population and the currency.
• Australian State & Territory Jigsaw - The locations and names of the states and territories (There are two differentiated versions of this activity, one with labels and one for the students to label themselves)

Once all activities are complete, collate them and display as suggested by using the Suitcase Template. This can either be printed on white paper and coloured or painted by the students as an additional craftivity, or printed on brown paper, and the students could add travel stickers to save time. Use sticky tape to attach the handle to the top and the case to the bottom on the reverse side. Step-by-step instructions are included.This activity will allow students to gain a visual and methodical perspective of where and how they fit into their country on a national and global scale.This activity is part of our Geography Year 2 Unit Plan.
