These editable rule cards were created to use as a part of a whole brain teaching approach to learning. Each card is accompanied by gestures, which assist the students in recalling each rule.

1. Listen (cup ear) when the teacher (point to teacher) is talking (use hand to make a talking mouth).
2. Raise (put hand up) your hand (hold hand near face) to speak (use hand to make a talking mouth).
3. Follow directions quickly (use hands to make a snake/winding path).
4. Respect others (hands out) respect yourself (hug self) respect your school (move hands over head like a roof).
5. Make smart choices (tap side of head with pointer finger).
