Who’s That on the Homophone? Worksheets
Description
These worksheets are a fun way for your students to learn about homophones in context while cracking a code.
Five excerpts of text are provided that contain homophone mistakes. Your students need to identify and correct the errors. The number of mistakes from each text provides the digits for the homophone caller’s phone number. The code at the end will help your students to identify who was calling and what they wanted.
As there are five passages of writing, you might like your students to complete one of them per day for a week. This could be especially helpful if you plan to focus on homophones for the whole week. Alternatively, your students could complete them all during one session.
You can simply print out the number of copies of the worksheets that you would like and distribute them to your students. Handy answer sheets are also included in this resource.Additional information
