Students determine why products made from different materials wouldn’t solve the problem that they are created for.
These products include:
- a cardboard shovel
- a rubber knife
- a concrete floaty toy
- a glass hammer, etc.
Students will explain why each material’s properties are unfit to solve the problem the product was made for.
They will then choose one of the product and based on its properties, they will think of a problem that it could solve.
