Writing Texts for Different Audiences Worksheets
Description
These worksheets have been created to scaffold student understanding of writing texts for different audiences.Templates are provided for students to brainstorm different audience types, identifying formal and informal writing styles, and writing practise for various audiences.Looking for more resources on writing for different audiences? These worksheets complement the Writing Texts for Different Audiences DIGITAL resource which is a helpful tool to further scaffold student understanding through explicit teaching, examples, and group activities. Students are introduced to the term audience by listing and sharing various types of audiences and defining the term.Students then explore and identify formal and informal writing styles through examples and activities. With this understanding, students are then asked to create a letter for two different audiences and an advert for two different audiences. Task reflections by students may then include the identification of the features of informal and formal writing in their texts, and why they chose to write in that style for each audience. |
