The chosen picture book for 2022 National Simultaneous Storytime is ‘Family Tree’ by Josh Pyke.

The story follows the growth and life cycle of a tree, alongside the growth and change within a family. Featuring beautiful illustrations with an Australiana theme. 

This resource features a worksheet asking students to draw their family members within the tree. You might also like to have students draw themselves sitting in the fork of the tree to replicate the front cover of the storybook.
