Description

Aligning directly with Foundation Health: Interacting With Others, this craftivity is a cute and unique way for your students to explore how to respectfully seek, give or deny permission when sharing possessions or personal space.In small groups, students will need to think of situations where they feel annoyed by others and what they can say to improve the situation. We suggest an adult scribe these examples onto each child’s wings, however, this could be done by students if achievable. Once scribed, instruct students to cut out each piece of their bug and glue them together. Once all constructed, attach pipe cleaner antennae and a pair of googly eyes and have each child draw on a mouth.We suggest copying each set of wings onto a different colour of cardstock to create a bright classroom display. Alternatively, students can colour in or watercolour paint their wings for display.If you cannot facilitate the making of a craft, we have provided a simple worksheet option instead.A banner has been included if you wish to create a display of your students’ crafts.This resource is part of our Health Foundation Interacting with Others Unit.
