This Friendship Quilt resource is a collaborative activity to help students recognise the importance of their own personal qualities and how they contribute to creating new friendships.

In pairs, each student draws a picture of themselves on the friendship quilt template. Underneath they write a personal quality they have in common. An Ice Breaker template has been provided for students to complete and find their common interests. The students will visually be able to see the quality they share and why their friendship is special. The quilt pieces are then joined to create a class display representing how wider friendships are formed.
