Use this worksheet to reinforce the locations of Australia’s states, territories and capital cities with your students. In this activity, students will draw the state and territory lines onto a map of Australia, labelling the names of each. They will then identify the names and locations of capital cities, as well as finding Australia’s capital and the capital city closest to their location. This activity is designed to be completed individually but can be used as a paired or small group task. For a group task, why not print this activity on A3 paper?
