Building Area is a great way to have your students use their knowledge of the concept of area to create some fantastic shapes and objects.

In this activity, students will be given pre-determined areas to create objects and shapes.

You can give students the activity sheet in the write-and-wipe sleeves and have them create their masterpieces, or you can use an interactive whiteboard's draw feature.

These can be implemented as small group practices, a warm-up to mathematics lessons, skill revision and a conclusion activity to a lesson.
