Description

Developing strong fine motor skills and number recognition in the early years can be both engaging and hands-on with the Fine Motor Number Mats. These versatile number formation mats combine early maths skills with tactile activities that strengthen finger muscles, pincer grasp, and visual tracking.

Check out this video below to see this resource in action.

Students will love using a variety of small manipulatives—like bingo daubers, pom poms, buttons, or mini erasers—to fill the inside of each number from 0 to 10. They then mark the correct amount on the matching ten frame to reinforce number–quantity relationships. These multi-sensory mats are ideal for kinaesthetic learners and help support one-to-one correspondence and early counting strategies.

Available in both our basic fun font and Australian state fonts, Fine Motor Number Mats are suitable for classrooms around the country. Whether used in morning tubs, fine motor rotations, intervention groups, or at-home learning packs, these mats make early number work both practical and playful.
