Materials Needed:

• Printed templates on white or coloured card
• Scissors, glue and string
• Hole punch
• Optional: pom poms, sequins, stickers, markers or watercolours
• Optional: real tea bags for added surprise

How to Use:

1. Print your preferred teapot templates. Carefully cut a slit along the dotted line at the base of the teapot (this may be best done by an adult using a craft knife).
2. Students cut and assemble the teapot pieces and decorate them using craft materials or art supplies.
3. On the message template, students write or draw something special for their mum or mother figure.
4. Slip the message through the slit and glue the lid in place, leaving a gap so the tab can be pulled up and down.
5. Punch a hole in the tea bag tag and tie it to the side with string to complete the effect.
