This useful resource can be used to assess your students’ knowledge of life cycles.

On the first page, the students need to draw and write about the life cycles of a plant and an animal. On the second page, they compare the life cycles using a Venn diagram.

Two versions of the assessment rubric are provided. One has a space for a teacher comment and the other version does not. You can simply print out enough copies of the assessment and your chosen rubric for your class and start the task. You could use it as a diagnostic pre-test at the start of a unit and/or a summative post-test at the end.
