Fabulous Frog: Fine Motor Craft

Description
Are you looking for an engaging way to help your students develop their fine motor skills? Our Fabulous Frog: Fine Motor Craft is the perfect blend of creativity and skill-building! With plenty of cutting, scrunching, folding, and gluing, this craft provides hands-on opportunities to build control, coordination, and confidence in a fun and purposeful way.
Students will begin by painting a paper plate green and assembling their frog using the included templates for eyes, mouth, feet, and more. They’ll scrunch up tissue paper to decorate the frog’s body and create a fly-catching tongue by accordion folding a strip of red cardstock. The finished frogs can then be attached to a lily pad base and displayed using the included banner and backing templates.
This activity supports fine motor development by encouraging students to use finger strength and coordination throughout each step. Whether you’re building fine motor stamina or looking for a colourful addition to your classroom displays, this craft is a fun, functional choice that students will love!
