This fun Christmas book response has been designed to accompany a whole class reading of the picture book Yule Not Open This Book by Andy Lee. These no-prep worksheets will allow your students to demonstrate their understanding of the text.   To complete the task, students will record all of the crazy things that happen to Wizz on Christmas Eve as they continue to turn the pages of the book! We have included multiple options to suit the needs of your class:

1. Drawing only (one large box and 6 small boxes).
2. Drawing and completing a sentence prompt (24mm and 18mm lines).
3. Drawing and writing a short paragraph (24mm and 18mm lines).

  This task is perfect for independent work, a small group task, scribing, evidence for assessment or for a relief folder!   Early Years and Foundation students may benefit from having this resource enlarged to A3 to provide more space for drawing and writing.   Turn this activity into a fun art project by enlarging the drawing template to A3 and:

1. Placing it on an easel for your students to paint on.
2. Providing magazine and newspapers for students create a collage.
3. Providing craft materials, such as pom poms, pipe cleaners and buttons, for students to create a 3D image of their response.
